Viewing iSCSI properties

Use the Viewing iSCSI Properties panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to view attributes that are associated with iSCSI-attached hosts.

Attributes

The following attributes are displayed:

iSNS Server Address
Displays the IP address for the Internet Storage Name Service (iSNS) server that is used to manage the iSCSI devices that are used in a network.
Supported Authentication Methods
Displays the supported authentication method between the iSCSI-attached hosts and the SAN Volume Controller.
CHAP
Indicates that Challenge-Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) is the authentication method that is used between iSCSI-attached hosts and the SAN Volume Controller cluster.
None
Indicates that no authentication method is used to authenticate SAN Volume Controller cluster to iSCSI-attached hosts.
CHAP Secret
Displays the shared secret that is used to authenticate the SAN Volume Controller cluster to the iSCSI-attached hosts.
