These panel descriptions apply
to all managed disk (MDisk) panels
that are part of the SAN Volume Controller Console.
Discovering managed disks Use the Discovering Managed Disk panel in the SAN Volume
Controller Console to rescan the fibre-channel network. The rescan
discovers any new managed disks (MDisks) that might have been added
to the cluster and rebalances MDisk access across the available controller
device ports.
Including managed disk
Use the When you select Include MDisk from
the list, a managed disk (MDisk) is included back into the cluster.
Renaming managed disks
Use the Renaming Managed Disk panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
change the name of a selected managed disk (MDisk).
Viewing managed disks
You can view the managed disks (MDisks) in a cluster and
information about the MDisks from the Viewing Managed Disks panel
in the SAN Volume Controller Console. You can view all modes of MDisks,
including MDisks that are in the managed, unmanaged,
or image modes.
Viewing managed disk details
Use the Viewing Managed Disk Details panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
display information about a selected managed disk (MDisk).
Viewing quorum disks
Use the Viewing Quorum Disks panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
display a list of managed disks (MDisks) that are used as quorum disks
for the cluster.
Viewing discovery status
Use the Viewing Discovery Status panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
display the current status of a logical unit number (LUN) discovery.
