Configuring FC I/O Blade Ports

When FC I/O blades are installed in the library, FC I/O blade port parameters can be configured using the Web client.

Each FC I/O blade has six ports. Ports 1 and 2 are always target ports and are configurable. Port 3 through 6 are always initiator ports and are not configurable. To view the current configured settings for all FC I/O blade ports, see Viewing FC I/O Blade Port Information.

For FC I/O blade ports 1 and 2, the following parameters can be configured:

NOTE: This operation should not be performed concurrently by multiple administrators logged in from different locations. You can access the appropriate screens, but you cannot apply changes while another administrator is performing the same operation.

You need administrator privileges to configure FC I/O blade ports.
  1. From the Setup menu, select FC I/O Blades > Port Configuration.

    The Setup - FC I/O Blade Port Configuration screen displays. The screen lists the location, World Wide Node Name (WWNN), status, and ports for each installed FC I/O blade.

  2. Select the FC I/O blade port you want to view or configure and click Next.

    The Setup - FC I/O Blade Port Configuration screen displays. The screen allows you to configure the loop ID, speed, frame size, and connection of the selected port. The screen also displays the location, World Wide Port Name (WWPN), and port number of the selected port.

  3. Configure any of the following settings by selecting values from the drop-down lists:

    The Progress Window displays. The Progress Window contains information on the action, elapsed time, and status of the requested operation.
