SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is method of sending alerts or status messages from the library a specified destination.
When walking the SNMP MIBs associated with the library, the default timeout for the snmpwalk command should be set to 15 seconds to allow enough time for the library to gather all the data.

| SNMP Community | Enter the name of the community (group) to which the library belongs and to which you want messages sent. This community must already be set up on the network. |
| Enable SNMPv1 & SNMPv2 MIB Data (SNMPv3 is always enabled) | Click this check box to enable SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 (if currently disabled) or, if currently enabled, click to deselect the box and disable SNMP v1 & v2. |
| Enable SNMPv1 Traps | Click this circle to enable SNMPv1 Traps |
| Enable SNMPv2 Traps | Click this circle to enable SNMPv2 Traps |
| Enable SNMP Authorization Traps | Click this check box to enable SNMP Authorization Traps |
| Send Test Trap | Click this button to send a message to the location or locations specified in SNMP Trap Destinations. |
