This is a brief overview of modifying the pool encryption settings for IBM® TS7700. You will learn about modifying encryption settings and encryption keys.
You can update encryption pool settings by selecting the check box for one or more pools that you would like to update. Click Select Action for the selected pool and then select Modify Encryption Settings from the list. Click Go, and the Modify Encryption Settings screen appears.
You will see the encryption settings displayed for the selected pool. In this panel, you can update or rekey your encryption settings for the selected pools. Note that on this screen, you can select to use the Encryption Key Server default key, for one or both keys. Administrators with several libraries often use an external key server for centralized key management. Default keys are defined within this external key server. You can select a default key for one or both keys, or you can manually enter the key.
