How to change Serial Number on IBM TS3100/TS3200 Tape Libraies.

Use front panel to enable Telnet.

Connect to the library IP-address using Putty (telnet).

Type 'login'

User Name: service
Password: ser001

Using any of the following commands quotes " " MUST be entered.


TS3100 Library:
snum "L2U#######"



TS3200 Library:
snum "L4U#######"


Replace ####### with the correct serial number.
Do NOT include '-'


Example:

snum "L2U78AV237"
