Configuring storage - IBM System z or zSeries (Text version)

<Previous Next>

To create zSeries or IBM System z volumes using the Express Configuration wizard, launch the wizard and select your volume type.

Then, select your RAID type and configure available storage by entering one of two parameters: the number of volumes you want to create or the amount of unused storage to configure.

Next, select your starting logical control unit, or LCU, and enter the number of LCUs that you want to create. You can spread volumes equally across LCUs or you can have the volumes use all the addresses in the specified number of LCUs.

Finally, name the volumes you just created. This step is optional.
