Another feature of the DS6000 system is offline management and configuration. The flexible DS Storage Manager interface can be installed on almost any machine, converting that machine into a management console for one or more DS6000 systems. You can also use the interface on any machine in offline mode, which allows you to import, export and work with configurations in a simulated environment. This is especially useful in creating configurations for DS6000 systems before they arrive at your site.
