Remote Support

For more complicated service problems, administrators can initiate Remote Support with IBM. IBM can provide assistance by giving instructions, or by logging into the management server remotely, and interacting with the storage system to resolve the issue. Remote support occurs over a secure virtual private network (VPN) connection that you can establish over a modem or a local area Internet connection.

Use the Activate remote support page in the DS Storage Manager to activate Remote Support.
