Activate remote support

Use this page to view information about connecting to and disconnecting from IBM remote support using either VPN or a modem.

Menu path

Real-time Manager > Manage Hardware > Storage units > Select a storage unit > Select Action: Activate Remote Support > Go

Fields

Connection status
The status information on the remote support connection. The display is updated every 15 seconds while the connection is active.
Connect
User-selected button that starts the VPN or modem connection.
Disconnect
User-selected button that ends the VPN or modem connection.
Close
User-selected button that exits with no action taken.
