Press ALT-A Choose option ALT-A - ALT-V changes the active instance in layout mode. Press ALT-V to change the active instance. Choose option ALT-V - Cursor-indicate in the highlighted region to select the top view instance. - Press ALT-W to window-in on the top instance. Choose Option ALT-W - Cursor-indicate in the highlighted box for the first corner of the window. Indicate 1st corner of window - Cursor-indicate in the highlighted box for the second corner of the window. Indicate 2nd corner of window - Choose the DETAIL option. Choose option - Choose the LAYOUT option. Choose option - Choose the MODELIZE option. Choose option - Choose INSTANCE. Choose modelize option - Cursor-indicate in the highlighted region to select the top view instance. - Choose YES to accept the selections to be modelized. Okay to modelize selections? (NO) - The border disappeared to show that the instance is now layout geometry. Choose modelize option - Press ESCAPE to return to the main menu. Choose modelize option - Choose the EDIT option. Choose option - Choose the BREAK option. Choose option - Choose DOUBLE Choose option - ea#-02-I.03 - Use the immediate mode command ALT-T to change the line type to dashed. Select entity to break ALT-T - Choose the second line type: dashed - Select the highlighted portion of the ellipse. Select entity to break ellipse - Select the highlighted portion of the circle. Select breaking entity. circle - Select the highlighted portion of the circle. Select breaking entity. circle - The ellipse was selected on the right, keeping a solid line. The new entity on the left is dashed. Select entity to break - Use the immediate mode command ALT-T to change the line type back to solid. Select entity to break ALT-T - Select the top line type: solid - Press ESCAPE to return to the main menu. Select entity to break - The change in line type back to solid insures that any new geometry has this normal solid line type. Select entity to break - Use the immediate mode command CTRL-Q to delete the line joining the circle to the ellipse Choose Option CTRL-Q - Select the highlighted line for deletion. Select entity 1 (press RETURN when done) line - Press ENTER to accept the selection. Select entity 2 (press RETURN when done) - Press ALT-A to autoscale the display. Choose Option ALT-A - Changes to geometry are complete. The next steps bring in border geometry from a pattern file. Choose Option - Choose the FILES option. Choose option - Choose the PATTERN option. Choose option - Choose the RETRIEVE option. Choose option - Enter BORDB (bordb) as pattern file to load. Enter pattern file name (): bordb - Choose the NO option to not group the entities. Group pattern entities (YES) ? - Choose the CUR-LEV option to have the file placed on level 1, the current level. Choose level option (CUR-LEV) - Enter 1 as scale factor. Enter scale factor (1) => scale factor - Enter 0 as rotation angle. Enter rotation angle (0) => rotation angle - Choose the KEY-IN option. Enter pattern base position / Cursor-indicate position - The base position of the border is its lower left corner. To position this corner, enter 0.0 for XV. Enter pattern base position / XV = XV - Enter 0.0 for YV. Enter pattern base position / YV = YV - Enter 0.0 for ZV. Enter pattern base position / ZV = ZV - The geometry added is specific to this layout. It does not change the model. Enter pattern base position - Press ESCAPE to exit this function.
