New Chat Room

When you run the Messenger Installation program, it automatically creates a Chat Container object where you can create chat room objects. Use this dialog box if you need to create an additional chat room object.

A chat room allows multiple users to join a conversation on a particular topic. You can control who owns the chat room, the chat room's name, a description of the chat room, a welcome message for the chat room, maximum number of participants, whether the chat room is archived, and if the chat room is searchable.

Directory ID (CN)
The canonical name for the chat room. It displays in the eDirectory ^TM tree.

Chat Room Name
Type a name for the new chat room object. This is the name a user sees when they search or join a chat room.

A trademark symbol (^®, ^TM, etc.) denotes a Novell trademark. An asterisk denotes a third-party trademark. For more information, see Legal Notices.
