You will need to activate java to view this menu.

  • This demonstration varies from the previous one by having a border inserted. You can design (and resize) your own borders using a simple graphics editor. As the borders are processed within the applet, you do not need to worry about complex table formatting as with some other applets.
  • In case you didn't try out some features on the last demo, look out for these here:
    1. Test the depth of the nesting using the sample folders provided.
    2. Note that each line is automatically wrapped if necessary; this is an unusual feature making this applet especially suitable for demanding navigation requirements; up to 20 lines per entry are available and you can force line-breaks as well.
    3. Try the scrolling options (NB: Tree Type I has horizontal scrolling as well as vertical; this tree - Tree Type II - copes with long lines by wrapping them).
  • If you open up the folder marked for testing line-wrapping, you will see that the "paragraph" has a hanging-indent which can be used to use the space beneath the icon. The hanging-indent is precisely user-definable and is attached to the stylesheets - i.e. it can be differently defined for each style.
