Internet download instructions for Y2K TEST v1.10

This version of Y2K TEST will work on any AT based PC regardless of the operating system.  The instructions below will guide you in creating the disks for use to run Y2K TEST without the fear of a boot virus.

You will need:
A)	2 blank floppy disks
B)	The NT test zip file you downloaded


1)	Insert the first blank floppy on a PC running DOS 6.0 or higher
2)	Format the disk with "format a: /s" to make it a system disk
3)	Create a config.sys file on that disk with one line that reads FILES=55
4)	Remove the disk, and label it  "DISK1 INITIAL BOOTUP"
5)	Write protect the disk
6)	Insert the second disk
7)	Format the disk with "format a: /s" to make it a system disk
8) Copy the y2kflopy.exe file to the disk, and then run it.  The necessary files will be copied to the disk.
9)	Remove the disk, and label it Disk 2.  Do NOT write protect this disk

Now, the installation portion is complete. 

Diagnosing your PC;
1)	Insert disk 1
2)	Reboot your computer so it boots from the floppy.  
3)	You may have to enter your PC's BIOS to make it boot from the A drive.
4)	Once your PC has booted to the first disk, remove it, and insert disk 2.  
5)	Type A:\ALIEN
6)	You will be asked to identify the PC - do so.
7)	The software will reboot your PC 
8)	At the end of the test, and you are done viewing the results, remove the disk 	and the software will reboot the PC again.
10)	Your results are collected on disk 2 in ONE file, RESULTS.TXT
You can collect 50 or more sets of results on one disk.
11)	When the disk is nearly full, move the results.txt file from the floppy to a safe location.
