What's New In Techscheduler
starting with Version 3.00
Updated on 2/1/00

- The NT Service is now installed in the Techscheduler folder, the
setup wizard will attempt to disable old NT Service copies found
  in other folders.

- TechScheduler now supports user defined variables that are used
and set in the pre-start and post-job activities forms.

- The GUI has been updated to seperate the Timed Jobs from the
  On-Demand jobs.

- Support added to optionally use a disk based configuration file
(INI Style) instead of the registry.

- Registration keys have been changed again (sorry!). Hackers have
given key information to all the databases. We experience daily
calls from customers using hacked shareware keys.

Compatibility issues with older versions:

- If upgrading from 2.70 (1.0x - 2.6x) or earlier certain MAIL and
FTP settings for existing jobs may be incorrect. Job information
  is unreliable. Re-enter all jobs.

- If upgrading from 2.70 or later (2.7x, 2.8x) the following
  compatibility issues are known:

  - All job password fields have been encoded for the ISO/security
needs of our customers. You will need to re-enter the passwords
in the following jobs: FTP, RAS, Network Connection and NT Service.
