HP has determined during on-going Tru64 UNIX stress testing that certain Gigabit
Ethernet LAN-on-Motherboard (LOM) and Network-Interface-Card (NIC) 
implementations may, in response to a rare trigger event described below, 
experience a DMA Write Engine loss of synchronization when transferring data 
from adapter/chip memory to host CPU memory.  Based on our laboratory analysis,
we believe that this loss of synchronization could potentially manifest itself 
in one or a combination of several ways:

Data integrity issues
Transmit time-out
Network interface stops transferring packets entirely
Bad checksums in the output of "netstat -s"
