Updates the time zone data files in /etc/zoneinfo/northamerica to include
the Canada, Bahamas,Bermuda, Brazil & Uruguay DST changes 2007.
The United States government passed an energy bill on August 8/2005. It is
part of an initiative to reduce energy consumption. The bill will give the
United States an extra four weeks of daylight saving time in 2007 and all
subsequent years.
Canada will be changing their Daylight Saving Time rules in 2007 in order
to stay consistent with the US.In Canada, daylight saving legislation is the
responsibility of the provincial and territorial governments.
As a result Canadian DST rules require changes.
The Bahamas too will follow suit with the US. Also, the Brazil & Uruguay DST
changes have been updated.
