ECO KIT SUMMARY:

This ECO kit contains a solution, patch Tru64 5.1 C 462.02 for the following 
issue:

On GS80, GS160 and GS320 systems with high memory utilization, under 
moderate-to-heavy loads, the i2o_bs driver can return spurious errors on I/O 
operations to logical drives.  The errors will not be in the error log but are 
seen by applications as any of the following errors:

 o [EIO]  I/O error (error code 5)
 o [ENODEV]  No such device (error code 19)

This can occur with all variants of the KZPCC hardware and all system types.

You should always ensure that the latest firmware is being used.  Firmware
upgrades for the KZPCC can be found at:

INSTALLATION NOTES:

Copy the ECO kit to the target system. Use 'tar' to extract the contents of the 
ECO kit.  

The patch is installed using the installation script located in the patch kit.  
Please read through the Release Notes and Patch Installation guide, included in 
the ECO kit, prior to installing patches.

The Release Notes summarizes the contents and any special installation notes.
The Patch Installation guide describes the installation procedures for this 
ECO kit.

Installation of this ECO kit requires Tru64 UNIX 5.1 Patch Kit 3 (BL17) be 
installed.
