ECO KIT SUMMARY:

This ECO kit contains a solution, patch Tru64 5.1 C350.00, for the following 
issue:

  Tru64 UNIX patch is required for correct operation, when Sybase 11.9.x
  or 12.0 are installed on a Tru64 UNIX V5.1 system.

  A Tru64 UNIX V5.1 problem is exhibited by Sybase 11.9.x and 12.0 sometimes 
  reporting "Error: 1613" and "host process disconnected" errors. When Sybase 
  sees extraneous:

     o  Tru64 UNIX "soc_smigrate" errors, Sybase reports
        "Cannot read, host process disconnected"

     o  Tru64 UNIX "1621" errors, Sybase reports
        "nclose: close, Invalid argument",
        "Error 1613, Severity: 21, State: 1"
        "Could not close network 0 connection for server process 9"
        "nclose: close, Bad file number"

INSTALLATION NOTES:

Copy the ECO kit to the target system. Use 'tar' to extract the contents of the 
ECO kit.  

The patch is installed using the installation script located in the patch kit.  
Please read through the Release Notes and Patch Installation guide, included in 
the ECO kit, prior to installing patches.

The Release Notes summarizes the contents and any special installation notes.
The Patch Installation guide describes the installation procedures for this 
ECO kit.

Installation of this ECO kit requires Tru64 UNIX 5.1 Patch Kit 2 (BL03) be 
installed.
