  Is (Online) BACKUP/IGNORE=INTERLOCK safe?
 The Question is:

I made an image backup from our systemdisk.
with the following command.
backup/init/image/ignore=inter sys$sysdevice: mka400:sysdsk_mv4100.bck-
/sav/log/verify.
I did not make a standalone backup.
The next day fieldservice swapped the disk.
And I restored the safeset.
How reliable is my system now??

 The Answer is:

  Unknown. Sorry.

You will PROBABLY not encounter any problems more serious than a bad
powerfailure or system crash, but BACKUP/IGNORE=INTERLOCK can and should
be viewed as allowing any and all data inconsistencies. Files that were
open -- the queue manager, the authorization database, application database
files, anything looking to use an interlock to ensure consistency -- may or
may not be in a consistent state.
