  DECnet performance differences?
 The Question is:

Dear Wizard,

I have three nodes. Node-alpha (alpha station 500/500), node_vax_1, and
node_vax_2 connected by decnet. node-alpha runs ovms 7.1, node_vax_1 and
node_vax_2 both runs VAX Ovms 5.5.

See the following connections:

set host from node-alpha to node_vax_2 (fast)
set host from node_vax_1 to node_vax_2 (fast)
set host from node-alpha to node_vax_1 (very slow)
set host from node_vax_1 to node_alpha (very slow)
set host from node-alpha to node_vax_2 and set host to
node-vax_1 (fast)

I can only copy files between node-alpha and node_vax_1 if I am sin
node_vax_2. All three nodes are in the same area (3.xx)

All sign on are in system accounts.

Can you give me a clue how to troubleshoot this problem.

 The Answer is:

Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center -- there
is insufficient detail on the hardware configuration, on the
particular DECnet Phase, around the network hardware, and
around the values in the DECnet counters from the various
  systems involved.
