rhosts vs IP proxy? (network authentication)
 The Question is:

Running OpenVMS 7.2-1 with TCP/IP Services. Have the RSH, REXEC and RLOGIN
services setup and running. 1) Do I need a .rhosts file? 2) When running a
command like rsh mycomp dir

I get security errors from INTERnet ACP AUXS as to an invalid password. I
can't get to pass that even if I provide username and passwords. Any
suggestions?

 The Answer is:

OpenVMS TCP/IP Services does not provide rhosts -- the equivilent
is the TCP/IP proxy, and applications can be enabled (or disabled)
  for use with proxies.
