  DECevent Device Reset Reports? 
 The Question is:
 
I have an Alpha 8400, running VMS V7.1-1H1.  The following events was reported
 by Decevent:
 
Device Reset Occurred, Bugcheck Occurred
 
Diagnostics Failure OR Bugcheck Error Code in Information Field.
 
Device services had to reset the bus.
 
Thanks for any ideas you may have on this problem.
 
 The Answer is:
 
  Upgrade.  Please move to V7.1-2, to V7.2-1, or to V7.3.  Each with
  the corresponding ECO kits applied, of course.
 
  Please move off of V7.1-1H1, as that was a limited hardware release,
  a release intended for early support of very specific hardware
  configurations (UltraSCSI, latent support for Personal Workstation,
  and a few other features), and a release that is no longer seeing
  the creation of any ECO kits nor support.
 
  V7.1-2 was intended as an easy way to apply the available ECO kits,
  and as a transparent upgrade from V7.1, V7.1-1H1, and V7.1-1H2.
 
  Once a subsequent maintenance or full release is available, the
  OpenVMS Wizard will normally recommend upgrading off of a limited
  hardware release.
 
  Then, obviously, try to duplicate the error.
