  System Performance Tuning, IP Activity?
 The Question is:

1. How can I tell if the number of BG drivers is working correctly and that the
number of BG drivers I have is correct?

2. My system is bogging down when concurrent users access the system via the
web or if a good number of users access telnet locally.

I can send you what ever parameter settings you might need but appreciate your
 help.

3. I have my httpd.dir set with a version of 10 but my net$server.log
is indicating a version of 3 only. After it reaches this point it
stops writing to the log.

 The Answer is :

Please contact the support center if you wish to request that
a detailed performance investigation be performed.

1: You have to be familiar with the local network activity and
with the local IP protocol use.

2: Please review the performance management documentation available
within the OpenVMS documentation set. Please (periodically) use
AUTOGEN with FEEDBACK, and reboot to load new parameters -- this
should be performed until the load stabilizes, and any time that
there has been a significant change to the system activities. If
you wish to perform a manual investigation of performance, you will
want to understand and systematically follow the tuning guidelines
established by the performance management manual.

3: version limits are inhereted from the directory for new files,
and from previous file versions for new versions of existing files.
