! Dynamic Disk Volume Expansion? The Question is: MHow can I resize disk volume size without loosing data on it ? We have an EVAK storage, and when I change it's size "on-the-fly", I'd like to see that onJ system (after INITIALIZE show device /size ... show it is bigger) without loosing data on the disk. The Answer is : E To enable Dynamic Volume Expansion (DVE) on an existing disk volumeE (available on V7.3-2 and later), dismount the volume and remount itC privately. Issue the DCL command SET VOLUME/LIMIT. Dismount andD then remount the volume appropriately; remount the volume for yourA normal operations. When more storage is required, you can now= issue the DCL command SET VOLUME/SIZE to resize the volume. Also see topic (9617). 0 Answer written or last revised on 14-APR-2004
