The INSTALL.EXE program will modify your CONFIG.SYS file to include
the SCSIDISK.SYS and/or DRIVER.SYS files as needed. This program
also copies the DOS utility programs to your fixed drive.

To install SCSIDISK.SYS in your CONFIG.SYS file, use the following
    procedure:

       1. Boot the system from the hard disk.

       2. Insert the SCSI Enabler Driver Disk into drive A, then type:

            A:INSTALL <Press Enter>

       3. Follow the installation instructions as they appear on the
          screen.

       4. Following the installation, you must reboot the system to
          to load the device drivers.

                                 Using DOS 6.0

The disk compression feature of DOS 6.0 is not compatible with the
Dynaboot capability of the SCSI Enablers. When a disk volume is
compressed, some information about that volume is stored on the boot
sector of your boot drive. If you use Dynaboot to boot from a diff-
erent drive, DOS will not have this information to access any comp-
    ressed volumes.

If you compress a removable disk volume, you must DISMOUNT the volume
before ejecting the cartridge. When inserting a new cartridge, you
will need to MOUNT the volume.

Addendum to MC Enabler Installation Guide

Two new POS switches have been added to the MC Enabler. These are
  described below:

  Synchronous Data Transfers Enable/Disable
  Default:
    Enabled

  Possible Settings:
    Enabled
    Disabled

The MC SCSI Enabler is capable of using synchronous data transfers
and will attempt to do so if the SCSI device being accessed is also
capable. Some SCSI devices do not handle extended messaging properly
and may hang the system during power-up. Under normal circumstances
select ENABLED. If you have a problem device that you suspect can
not handle these type of messages, select DISABLED. Whenever changing
this setting, you must cycle the power of all internal and external SCSI
  devices connected.
If more than one MC Enabler is installed, this setting is independant
  of the other adapters installed.

Maximum DOS Drive Support Support up to 2/8 drives
  Default:
    Support up to 2 drives

  Possible Settings:
    Support up to 2 drives
    Support up to 8 drives

This setting selects the maximum number of drives to be supported
directly by the BIOS without the use of an external driver with
the Disk Operating System. DOS versions 5.0 or above allow up to 8
drives to be supported. DOS versions below 5.0 may hang the system if
more than 2 drives are reported as being supported by the BIOS.
If more than 1 SCSI Enabler is installed, the one with the lowest
memory address will determine the setting for all Enablers installed.
To avoid confusion, set all of the Enablers to the same setting.
If OS/2 2.0 is being used, select "Support up to 8 drives".

                     Addendum to CC-16 Installation Guide

Two jumpers have been added to the CC-16 SCSI Adapter. These are
  described below:

                       JP6

                           Option strap (no jumper installed)
BIOS Hard Disk Support-8 (ON) or 2 (OFF)
                       Disable Sync Transfers.
                     Option strap (no jumper installed)

BIOS Hard Disk Support- 8 (ON) or 2 (OFF)
  -----------------------------------------
This setting selects the maximum number of drives to be supported
directly by the BIOS without the use of an external driver with
the Disk Operating System.

  Disable Sync Transfers
  ----------------------
The CC-16 SCSI Enabler is capable of using synchronous data transfers
and will attempt to do so if the SCSI device being accessed is also
capable. Some SCSI devices do not handle extended messaging properly
and may hang the system during power-up. Under normal circumstances
remove this jumper (synchronous transfers ENABLED). If you have a
problem device that you suspect can not handle these type of messages,
install this jumper (synchronous transfers DISABLED). Whenever changing
this setting, you must cycle the power of all internal and external SCSI
  devices connected.
If more than one Enabler is installed, this setting is independant
  of the other adapters installed.
