ENVIRONMENT:    In any local bus machine

DESCRIPTION:    When using your serial port, your system could hang up. This
                problem could happen when switching from the 16450 (NON FIFO)
                to the 16550 (FIFO) higher speed mode. Below is a description 
                of the two different files you will need if you run into this 
                problem.

                                           WINDOWS 3.1
                                           -----------
When using Windows 3.1 you need to copy the COMM.ZIP file from our BBS. In
this ZIP file a file called COMM.DRV should be listed. To use this file you
should rename the COMM.DRV file that is currently in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
directory to another name, and then copy the COMM.DRV file to the
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM driectory.

                                WORKGROUP FOR WINDOWS 3.11
                                --------------------------

When using Workgroup for Windows 3.11 you will need to copy WG1001.EXE from
our BBS, this is a self extracting file. All you have to do is type 
WG1001.EXE and the file will unzip. You should see a file called SERIAL.386,
to use this file you should rename the SERIAL.386 file that currently exist
in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. Next copy the SERIAL.386 file to your
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
