Arco Product(s) : AC-1070 and AC-1075

Environment : IBM PS/2 8580-041 and 8580-071
			with IBM expanded memory

Description : Memory protect mode in an IBM PS/2
Computer Model 80-16MHz

The Arco AC-1070 and AC-1075 will not operate in an IBM PS/2 Model 80-16MHz
computer running in memory protect mode. Memory protect is required when
running Windows, OS/2 and Novell 386.

This problem occurs with most IBM and other memory boards. Two compatible
memory boards are the IBM PS/2 Enhanced 80386 Memory Expansion Option
(feature code 8005) and the Cumulus CuRam 1-32 (p/n 8020237). In the case
when an IBM PS/2 Enhanced 80386 Memory Expansion Option is used, it must be
set to "matched memory cycles" disabled.

Solution : When installing an AC-1070 or AC-1075 in an IBM PS/2 Model
80-16MHz computer, an IBM PS/2 Enhanced 80386 Memory
Expansion Option with "matched memory cycles" disabled or
a Cumulus CuRam 1-32 must be used.
