 1. BEFORE YOU START

You need a MicroChannel machine with an NCR SCSI host adapter employing
the NCR 53C94/90 SCSI chipset and the Windows 95/98 operating system.

Following NCR MCA SCSI host adapters are supported by this driver:

   ID Description
   ------------------------------------
   7F4C NCR 53C94 SCSI Controller
   7F4D NCR 3421 SCSI Controller
7F4F NCR SCSI Host Adapter Board

The NCR53C9 driver is an UPDATE of the Windows NCR53C9x driver. You must
have the Windows 95/98 NCR53C9x driver installed before you update it with
   NCR53C9 MCB-206.

Unpack the contents of NCR206.ZIP in a directory or on a diskette.
You should have the following files:

     INSTALL TXT -- Installation instructions
     NCR53C9 MPD -- NCR53C9 MCB-206 Miniport Driver
NCR206 INF -- Windows driver installation INF file

To differentiate between the Windows NCR53C9x driver and the MCB-206
driver, the driver description has been defined as:

"NCR 53C94 MCA SCSI Host Adapter" = this is the Windows driver
   "NCR 53C9x MCA SCSI MCB-206" = NCR 53C94/90 on MCB-206 NCR53C9 driver

NOTE: NCR 53C9x are MCA adapters and as such resources used by the adapter
are automatically obtained from the adapter POS settings. This means, that
any changes in the Windows NCR 53C9x device panel concerning used resources
are rendered useless. You can, however, insert the correct values for the
resources used by the adapter to help Windows resolve resource conflicts
resp. prevent Windows making false resource conflict claims.
