Side note from when I fixed my compiler on my jasper machine on 7-19-2002, installing a nodelock license. These lines from the /usr/vac/cforaix_n.lic file If this product has been license-enabled in a runtime-based way, run the following command to enroll it: i4blt -a -v "'IBM Software Solutions Toronto' 5da54a553b4c.02.09.15.31.05.00.00.00 p9gb3ycs6ydpw" -p "'C for AIX' '5.0.n' z64jfibx7ynbapy7agjsa " made me think that I could simply type that line on loon, our LUM manager, and it would install this license. When I tried this, I got (c) Copyright 1995-1998, IBM Corporation, All Rights Reserved US Government Users Restricted Rights - Use, duplication or disclosure restricted by GSA ADP Schedule Contract with IBM Corp. (c) Copyright 1991-1997 Gradient Technologies Inc., All Rights Reserved (c) Copyright 1991,1992,1993, Hewlett-Packard Company, All Rights Reserved ADM-10061: Nodelocked License Server ip:loon.delphion.com not found but this apparently is looking for some "Nodelocked License Server" running on loon at (according to an iptrace) UDP port 12999, where there was nobody home. Evidently, this isn't the way to install a generally-available, network license for this C compiler.
