b+m Trace-Part for VisualAge C++

b+m Trace-Part for VisualAge C++ supports the application developer when searching for errors at run-time. A categorization of the events facilitates the search after sources of error. Trace messages generated by the Visual Builder can also be directed into log files. Also included is a dialogue for the evaluation of events and for b+m settings by the user. It is also possible to trace the ITrace events generated by the Open Class Library in a category of your choice.

Features

• Insert trace output macros into your source code and watch the program behavior at runtime.
• In Visual Builder applications drag a connection to the trace manager and trace GUI events.
• Build your own trace categories. 3 Categories are pre-defined - add as much categories as you like. Each category output can be directed into a file of your choice.
• Define levels of trace output from infos (level 1..3) to warnings (1..3) to errors (1..3).
• Activate and deactivate the trace output whenever you want by program call or user action
• Define the trace output directory, file names for each category, maximum size, count of histories and the output format.
• Enable ITrace events to be traced too and direct them into a file of your choice.

The b+m Trace-Part is available for VisualAge C++ version 3.0 for OS/2 or VisualAge C++ version 3.5 for Windows.
