Unite** CD-MakerCirrus Technology's Unite CD-Maker is a complete software package for creating your own custom audio and data CDs. With Unite CD-Maker, you can simply and easily create custom audio CDs by combining songs from several CDs onto one CD. You can create CD-ROMs for backup, archiving, and distribution of personal computer data. Included with Unite CD-Maker are 32-bit APIs which can be integrated into VisualAge to automate the burn.
OS/2 cannot normally recognize a CD-recordable device as a CD-ROM
reader. Unite CD-Maker device drivers overcome this limitation,
allowing the CD-recordable device to be used for both reading
and writing without reconfiguring or rebooting!
* Available under OS/2 only.
Before writing to the disc, the Unite CD-Maker software lets you run a "test burn" to verify that your system is fast enough to perform a successful write at the selected speed.
Unite CD-Maker uses multiple "threads" to read data from the hard drive and write data to the CD-R drive simultaneously. The multi-threaded design also provides a user-adjustable memory buffer and visual buffer meter to greatly reduce the chance of failed burns.
Unite CD-Maker creates CD-ROM discs that can be read by virtually any DOS, Windows, UNIX, and OS/2 system with a CD-ROM drive.
