Unite Image Viewer Object

The Unite Image Viewer SOM Object provides the capability of viewing, manipulating, compressing/decompressing, and saving color and gray scale photographs and bitonal documents. The Unite Image Viewer Object is designed for the OS/2 environment and is available with full-functional APIs, or it can be integrated into various development environments including IBM's VisualAge.

Unite Image Viewer Configuration Notebook

The Unite Image Viewer Object includes an Image Viewer Configuration Notebook. The Image Viewer Configuration Notebook can be used to configure default image viewer parameters. These parameters are saved in an OS/2 initialization file by userid.

Conventional, Comprehensive Methods

The Unite Image Viewer Object includes a customizable pop-up menu which allows the user to perform manipulations to the image. Some of the image manipulations available are: scale in, scale out, fit, zoom, invert, rotate, negative, and scale to gray. Some of the editing features available are: cut, copy, paste, import, extract, and redefine. All pop-up menu options can be invoked with method calls.

Additional Features:

• Sticky notes can be added to documents
• The icon which represents your document or photograph can appear as a thumbnail image of the document or photograph
• Color images are easily converted to gray scale
