Unite Scanner Object

The Unite Scanner SOM Object includes the Unite Image Viewer Object for viewing, manipulating, and saving color and gray scale photographs and bitonal documents. The Unite Scanner Object offers OS/2 device driver support for a variety of SCSI-based scanners and access to all scanner capabilities.

Complete Scanner Control

The Unite Scanner Object provides full software control of the scanner. All image format parameters used to control the document scanning process (e.g., document dimensions, resolution, compression style, contrast, etc.) are available and are validated based on physical specifications for the scanner. Model data for the scanner is used to determine whether the scanner can support the requested operation (e.g., double-sided scanning, endorsing, etc.). The user has direct control over how the image data extracted from the scanner is stored in system memory and/or to hard disk.

Scanner Configuration Notebook

The Unite Scanner Object is delivered with a Scanner Configuration Notebook which allows the user to define and save scanner configuration settings. Some configuration settings include DPI, page orientation, single/double sided, ADF/flatbed, and contrast.

Additional Features
