Navigating Objects

Navigating Objects is a fully-realized, multimedia OO learning tool that includes information on C++, Smalltalk, Java, and more. It includes dozens of big-screen videos (no postage-stamp movies here!) that provide additional tips and techniques.

Learning is fast.

Includes an extensive library of 35 articles from Object Magazine, The Smalltalk Report, The C++ Report, and JOOP, as well as excerpts from five essential OO books by such authors as Ivar Jacobson, Rebecca Wirfs-Brock, and David Taylor. And the entire library is searchable by title, author, or keyword.

Learning is fun.

As you pass through each beautifully rendered 3-D room, you will explore vital OO concepts such as Class and Instance, Identity, Encapsulation, Polymorphism, and more. The CDs' VCR-like controls makes it easy to move through each lesson and example.

Learning is easy.

When exploring a specific topic, the user can press the "expert" button, which plays a video clip of an OO expert explaining that topic. Includes clips of the following experts: Ward Cunningham, Rebecca Wirfs-Brock, David Taylor, and Mark Lorenz

Navigating Objects explores the following topics:

"It's like playing Myst without getting stuck all the time, and the learning happens almost transparently!" - David Taylor, President Enterprise Engines and author of Object Technology: A Manager's Guide
