IBM PartPaks

3 parts, 2 containers, and a whole lot of fun!

That's what you get when you play with PartPaks, packages of reusable, object-oriented software components and applications. OpenDoc, the basis of these parts, provides a robust software-component architecture that enables vendors and developers to build or customize applications with software components. Grouped into useful, logical suites for application development, the parts in PartPaks provide a working example of how object-oriented software components can be integrated to create partial to complete applications. Of course, this is only the beginning. Since OpenDoc parts can be easily reused, you can build numerous applications using the base parts, methods, and wiring extensions included in the PartPaks.

The first two PartPaks are PersonPak and TablePak:

These initial PartPaks form the building blocks for many cross-industry business applications, including objects that range from tables and charts to lists and address files.

PartPaks are being made available on a 30-day free trial basis. For more extended use, they can be purchased on the worldwide web from the Reusable Software Component Market.
