SQAT 2.5

MicroDoc SQAT (Smalltalk Quality Assurance Tools) is a Smalltalk class library that supports development time quality control, code consistency checks, and VisalAge Parts consistency testing. It is seamlessly built into the IBM VisualAge Smalltalk Team development environment and performs static and dynamic code tests.

Quality Control

The overall quality of a software program can be measured by functionality, architecture, design, performance, usability, maintainability and correctness. Some of these criteria are difficult to evaluate. Others are directly related to code quality, and can be automatically controlled by MicroDoc's SQAT kit. SQAT performs code analysis on methods, classes, applications, VisalAge Parts and can be invoked from Smalltalk browsers.

SQAT Test Collection

SQAT helps you reduce runtime errors, unwanted behavior, load problems and documentation deficits. SQAT is preconfigured with 25 adjustable tests (including VisualAge metrics) and can be extended with your own test cases. The SQAT Result Browser allows in place fixing of detected problems.

MicroDoc SQAT is partially based on scientific work performed at the University of Passau/Germany. SQAT is available for IBM VisualAge Smalltalk 4.0x for 32 Bit Windows & OS/2. SQAT is NLS enabled and supports multibyte character environments. A detailed product description of SQAT can be ordered via e-mail. SQAT is priced at $795 for a singe user license.
