Math•Mate Java Edition

Math•Mate's Capabilities

Math•Mate Java Edition calculates, integrates and sums up mathematical expressions, plots function graphs, finds extremes and solves equations containing parameters, numbers, logical and arithmetical operations, elementary and special functions, mathematical and physical constants. The program has a number of advanced interface features including on-screen keypads, a history list, logging of computations, error tracking and extensive help.

A distinguishing feature of the program is a wide set of built-in special mathematical functions which are calculated with 15 digits accuracy by effective fast algorithms. These functions are widely used in mathematical physics, statistics, finance, etc. The program is in fact a small but powerful laboratory for studying numerical objects.

Math•Mate's Architecture

The program can be used as a stand-alone application or in the client/server mode on either Internet or Intranet. Plus, with Java, it is platform independent. For instance, it is possible to run Math•Mate server on a Windows NT machine and multiple clients on OS/2, UNIX, AIX, Windows 95, etc. Clients can be graphical or text-based. They can use sockets, RMI or CORBA for communication.

Math•Mate Java Edition features smart object oriented design which allows equal or better performance of the computational engine than that of the most C++ based applications. It is a reliable assistant for fast numerical computations.
