VASER System Information Facility for VisualAge for Smalltalk

The VASER System Information Facility is an add-on to the IBM Smalltalk environment VisualAge.

A document based on existing source code is generated. It may contain development information, such as the application structure, class hierarchy, class and instance variables, class and instance methods, method source and comments, parts information, and many more.

Using the VASER System Information Facility the state and structure of a project may be automatically documented saving valuable time and resources.

Supported System Information:

• Application Structure - defined and extended classes, versions, prerequisites and dependents
• Class Information - class and instance variables, class and instance methods, class and method comments
• Part Information - attributes, actions and events
• Developer Information - manager, owner group member
• Hyperlinks between related information
• Cross reference about usage of classes and parts to easily identify unused classes or parts
• If the VASER framework is in use, additional information about the database mapping, class relations with cardinalities, external function mapping, etc. may be included.
