Paradigm Plus**The combination of Paradigm Plus and a Smalltalk environment is a quick and effective way for rapidly prototyping and developing applications. Paradigm Plus provides round-trip engineering that enables the Smalltalk developer to reverse engineer existing applications, model and build new components, reuse components across projects, and iteratively generate Smalltalk code. Smalltalk and IBM VisualAge can be automatically imported into the Paradigm Plus repository. Paradigm Plus extracts class definitions, creates an object model, and uses automatic diagram generation to display the design. Class diagrams allow visualization of the inheritance tree of the Smalltalk library to gain an understanding of available attributes and methods. Using powerful editors in Paradigm Plus, the developer can visualize the object model, and edit the design using familiar notation from any of the leading OO methods. Paradigm Plus then automatically generates new Smalltalk code to propagate changes back to the Smalltalk environment.
Paradigm Plus 3.0 introduces Enterprise Component Modeling (ECM), a revolutionary approach to OO analysis and design. Paradigm Plus makes ECM possible through its support for all leading OO methods, incorporation of a distributed object repository for large teams of concurrent users, round-trip engineering with code generation and reverse engineering, and automatic synchronization of models, code, and documentation. Paradigm Plus is a powerful software development tool for enterprise-wide applications.
