Digitalk compatibility support for File/IO, DLL interface, Cursors, Bitmaps, HelpManager, Exception Handling, Font, Colors, and other Digitalk classes to minimize the porting effort of the Domain Classes.
A comprehensive UI port. Any screen of any complexity built with Digitalk 2.x or 3.x using WindowBuilder/Pro** with SubPanes** and WidgetKit** is automatically ported to VisualAge into its native PARTs interface. Additional PARTs extensions are provided on the VisualAge side to support extended WindowBuilder settings and widget behavior.
A Visual File-in interface allowing to incrementally
migrate the source code into VisualAge. This visual chunk-format-filein,
allows to modify Smalltalk code interactively when a class instance
creation or compilation errors occur during the file-in process.
The UI port provides a comprehensive Widget Map and Event Map between the two Platforms. There is an ability to analyze the instance of the migrated Digitalk screen, change the default mappings of any widget for the window instance being ported, and generate the native VisualAge PART which can then be opened in the Composition Editor for further editing and polishing
