Visual EIS\Web

Visual EIS\Web is offered as an add-on feature to Visual EIS. With the addition of Visual EIS\Web, Visual EIS can return dynamically formatted results that can be displayed by popular web browsers. This enables access to enterprise level information on the web without having to create web pages. Supported formats include:

• HyperText Markup Language (HTML)
• Adobe Acrobat format (PDF)
• Rich Text Format (RTF)
• Java applet WYSIWYG widget

The use of these formats allows Visual EIS\Web to display not only textual information, but graphical information as well. Therefore, reports created with Visual\EIS retain all of their appeal when displayed on the web. Visual EIS\Web also supplies VisualAge parts and IBM Smalltalk classes that can be used in conjunction with VisualAge Web parts. Data can be returned to a Visual Age web part in a number of ways, including:

• Complete formatted HTML pages
• Partial HTML pages
• Delimited raw data
