A More Usable, Consistent and Flexible User InterfaceThe Desktop Enabler simplifies the production of user interfaces that surface the object model to the application user. Business objects, for example customers, policies and accounts, can be manipulated directly through drag and drop and point and click (drag funds between accounts for a transfer; drop a new policy on a customer). Common metaphors such as folders and templates can also be used to organize and create user's business objects based on their job function. |
The Desktop Enabler provides a backbone for objects defined in different applications to interact with one another. The possibility for reuse is therefore dramatically increased in cases where functionality from applications overlaps.
