File Menu

New Window
Opens a new window.

Open URL...
Displays a document from the Internet.

Open Local...
Displays a document from your computer or local network.

Close
Closes the current window.

If only one window is open, this command quits Mosaic.

Save As...
Saves the current file to your computer.

Page Setup...
Sets the margins, header, and footer information for pages.

Print
Prints the contents of the current window.

Exit
Quits Mosaic.

Edit Menu

Cut
Cuts the selected text and saves it to the clipboard. The Windows clipboard can be used to copy text to other files.

Copy
Copies the selected text to the clipboard. The Windows clipboard can be used to copy text to other files.

Paste
Pastes the contents of the clipboard at the current cursor location.

Select All
Selects all the text in the document.

Find...
Searches the current document for a word or phrase.

Find Again
Locates the next occurrence of your search string in the current document.

View Source...
Displays the current document without formatting the HTML tags.

Security
Lists installed security modules.

Preferences...
Change user options.

Navigate Menu

Back
Displays the last document you viewed.

Forward
Opposite of the Back command.

Home
Displays the home page.

History...
Displays the history list to return to a recently viewed document.

Hotlist...
Displays your hotlist.

Add Current to Hotlist
Adds the current file to your hotlist.

Load Missing Images
Loads any images that were not loaded (or completely loaded) with the current document.

Reload
Reloads the current file from the original source, not the cache.

Window Menu

Tile
Arranges open windows side by side so that all of them are visible.

Cascade
Arranges open windows so that the title bar of each window is visible.

The titles of all open windows are listed in the Window menu. To make a window active, choose it from this list.

Help Menu

Mosaic Help Page
Displays help.

About Mosaic...
Displays program and system information.

Keyboard and Mouse Commands

Commands for working with windows:

• To stop loading a file, press Esc or click the Stop button in the toolbar.

• To go to the start of a document, press Home.

• To go to the end of a document, press End.

• To select the URL field, press Tab.

• To cycle between open windows, press Ctrl-Tab.

• To open a new window with the contents of the current window, click the right mouse button and choose Clone Window from the pop-up menu.

Commands for working with links:

• To display the next document in a new window, click the link with right mouse button and choose Open Link in New Window from the pop-up menu.

• To save the next document, click the link with the right mouse button and choose Download Link to Disk from the pop-up menu. Then from the Unhandled File Type dialog, choose the Save As button.

Commands for working with images:

• To copy an inline image to the clipboard, click on the image with the right mouse button and choose Copy Image from the pop-up menu. The size of the image in pixels is displayed.

• To display an inline image in a new window, click on the image with the right mouse button and choose Open Image in New Window from the pop-up menu.

• To save an inline image, click on the image with the right mouse button and choose Download Image to Disk from the pop-up menu.

• To use an inline image as a Windows wallpaper, click the image with the right mouse button and choose Set Image As Wallpaper from the pop-up menu.
