Permitting Use of Cookies

Cookies allow servers to store information on your machine. This information can be information about your session with that server: a registration id or your shopping preference for a store site. The next time you access that server, the information stored in the cookie on your machine is sent to the server. You can permit the use of cookies and specify whether cookies are saved after you end your Mosaic session.

To permit or prohibit the storage of cookies:

1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.

2. Choose the Miscellaneous panel, if necessary.

3. Select or clear the Enable Cookies check box.

4. Choose the OK button.

To save or discard cookies between Mosaic sessions:

1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.

2. Choose the Miscellaneous panel, if necessary.

3. Select or clear the Save Cookies When Exit check box.

4. Choose the OK button.
