Documentation Errata
==============================

The following errors have been discovered in the User's Guide:

- Under the heading "Deleting Files and Folders" in Chapter 4,
there is a reference to the Delete command on the Edit menu.
The Delete command is actually on the File menu.

- Under the Heading "Moving Files and Folders," the keyboard
shortcut is mistakenly shown as Ctrl-C. Ctrl-X is the correct
command.

PC Suite: Notes and Anomalies
==============================

Nokia Desk Stand Sync Button: The Nokia 9110 Communicator
Desk Stand must be plugged into a power source before the
Sync button becomes active.

Nokia 9110 Communicator Notes Folder: If you name a file in
the Own Text folder using any of the following characters:

/  < > |

you will receive the error "Cannot copy '</' :file transfer
operation failed." These characters are illegal for Windows
filenames.

File Transfer and Mail text: If you attempt to use a File
Transfer function to copy mail text from the Nokia 9110
Communicator to your PC, the text is not converted to ASCII
text. It transfers in a form that is not readable on your PC.

File Transfer and Faxes: Faxes copied or moved to your PC
using PC Suite File Transfer commands are converted to TIFF
image files. Nokia 9110 Communicator faxes have two
resolutions: fine and standard. Standard resolution TIFF
images appear compressed vertically when inserted into
applications such as MS Word 97. To restore the correct
dimensions, drag the lowest edge of the image using the mouse.

PC Suite Contacts Application: The "Update to Communicator"
operation in the Contacts application may create duplicate
records in the Nokia 9110 Communicator. (This will occur
if you edit a record on your PC that has a corresponding
record in your communicator, and then "Update to
Communicator.") To avoid duplicating Contact cards,
use Intellisync to synchronise Contact cards.

==============================
Lotus Organizer Notes
==============================
Start and End Times: If you create an appointment in the
Nokia 9110 Communicator that does not have a start time
or an end time that is divisible by 5, it is rounded when
it transfers to Lotus Organiser. This may cause the
appointment to be rounded in the Nokia 9110 Communicator
after the next synchronisation.

Filtering on Priority Values: When you filter on the Lotus
Priorities field (e.g., Priority = 1) specify a value that is
one number less than the Lotus priority number. For example,
use Priority = 0 when you want to select a 1 priority value.

==============================
MS Outlook Notes
==============================
Exclusions: If you delete an individual instance of a recurring
appointment in the Nokia 9110 Communicator that originated in
Outlook, the Intellisync confirmation prompt may report that
a change will be made in the Nokia 9110 Communicator. This
is due to the way in which Intellisync handles "exclusions."

Outlook 98: In order for Intellisync to communicate with
Outlook 98, you must have the Outlook Expression Service
installed. To install this, you must select the Outlook 98
"Full Installation." It does not install if you select the
default installation.

Lotus Notes Notes
==============================
General

1. Custom forms and fields are not supported. These are ignored by
   Intellisync.

2. If a table is embedded in the field of an entry in Lotus Notes,
   only the data within the table will be transferred to the
   Nokia 9110 Communicator. If this data is changed in the
   Nokia 9110 Communicator, it is separated from within the table
   in Lotus Notes during the next transfer and placed above the
   empty table.

3. If the Calendar database does not exist or, if it is not properly
   specified in the current location document, it may appear that
   a synchronisation occurred but did not. See the datebook.log
   for the error specifying that the database does not exist.
   Verify that the database exists and that it is properly
   specified in the location document.

4. If you have installed Lotus Notes 5.0 Beta, Intellisync may not work
   correctly due to changes in the registry entries. Uninstalling 5.0
   and reinstalling a compatible version will correct the registry
   entries.

Address Book

1. For Lotus Notes 4.5, do not rename the Companies section of the
   Address book. If the name of this section is anything other than
   Companies, the data contained in this section will not be
   transferred to the Nokia 9110 Communicator.

To Do

1. Encrypted To Do's are not transferred to the Nokia 9110
   Communicator during synchronisation.
