This directory contains the OBP Flash update utilitity for RDI's UltraBook system, this utility runs under Solaris 2.5.x. To update the OBP image, following these steps: ----------------------------------------------- 1. switch the Flash write-protect switch toward the back of the computer to the "write-enable" position 2. cp 318 /usr/Flash/obp-post.bin 3. login as root and change directory to the flash update directory 4. flash-update The file used to update is ./obp-post.bin. If you have a newer OBP image with different name, use the -f flag to specify the file: # flash-update -yf /tmp/obp-post.bin 5. switch the Flash write-protect switch toward the front of the computer to the "write-protect" position NOTE: If your system did not have the "pcimem" driver installed then you need to run the script "install_pcimem" in this directory before flash-update can run.
