Subject:	Modifying default frame buffer to 4096 colors on Hitachi display panels

You can use the following to change the default frame buffer configuration to
the 4096 color mode on Hitachi display panels.  

 Log in as the root user, and execute the following:

	1. Save the current copy of the kernel,

		# cd /
		# cp /vmunix /vmunix.orig

	2. Use adb to modify the kernel,

		# adb -w vmunix
		fb_mode_table+0xe?w 0x7530
		fb_mode_table+0x10?w 0xc
		fb_mode_table+0x12?w 0xc
		fb_mode_table+0x14?w 0x8
		fb_mode_table+0x16?w 0x1
		fb_mode_table+0x18?w 0x1
		fb_mode_table+0x1a?w 0xf
		$q

	3. Reboot using the newly modified kernel,

		# reboot

Note that this will copy over the 512 mode, and the only way to enable it again
is to reboot with the original copy of the kernel.
