AUTOCAD 10/11 DISPLAY LIST DRIVER
DLD-VGA VERSION 2.04C
FOR CHIPS 450/451/452/453/455/456/457

JULY 30, 1991

This is a fast display list driver for AutoCAD Release 10
and AutoCAD Release 11 in real mode. The driver may be
installed on any Chips VGA system.

INSTALLING THE DRIVER

If AutoCAD has not been installed, install it as usual.
Change to the directory on the hard disk that contains
the AutoCAD files. For example, if AutoCAD is in the
directory C:\ACAD10, type:

    C:
    CD \ACAD10

Put the AutoCAD driver diskette in drive A: and copy all
files to the hard disk:

    COPY A:*.*

Then type DLDSETUP to start the driver setup program.
Follow the directions on the screen to set up the driver
options.

When the DLDSETUP program is done, it will create a batch
file FASTACAD.BAT. You may use this batch file to load
the new driver into memory by typing:

    FASTACAD

CONFIGURING AUTOCAD

The first time you run AutoCAD, you should configure it
to use the ADI 4.0 display driver. To do this, run AutoCAD
and select "Configure AutoCAD" from the main menu. Then
select "Configure Video Display". Select "ADI 4.0" as the
new display driver. Save the configuration and return
to the main menu.

CHANGING COLORS

You can select the colors that are used by AutoCAD for
background, menus, text and other screen items. To do
this, run one of the following color configuration
programs:

COLOR16 selects colors for 16-color modes.
COLOR256 selects colors for 256-color modes.
