When ideas for this project were solicited, some suggested I limit the downloads to subscribers only. This is not a sensible suggestion for several reasons. Firstly, it requires maintenance of a passworded site. More importantly, many of the programs fall under licenses such as the GPL. Although the GPL allows you to charge as much as you like for a program, it doesn't then stop people (legally) giving it to other people freely, so really defeating the point. I considered it better instead to charge for support, which suits the licences of these programs much better.

All programs that are part of the project are available via the download page. For those with low bandwidth connections, or just for convenience, I make CDs available. CD images are created automatically each day, and I can create CDs whenever required. CDs are available to both subscribers and non-subscribers. CDs cost 10UKP for the first CD, and 5UKP for any CD you order at a later date. |
